I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife
and the first thing I want you to know is that she is not what one might
consider a typical customer for this product. You see, we are both geezers -
she just turned 73 and I'm not far behind (no pun intended). But she has had a
problem for a while now that has only been getting worse with the passage of
time. The truth is that she has never been particularly well endowed in the
posterior, and some time around her mid 60s what little derriere she did have
began to disappear altogether - until she now has essentially no butt
whatsoever. She is not a vain person and has never really been bothered by this
unfortunate fact from the vantage point of being concerned about her looks, but
there are other reasons to mourn the loss of your backside. For instance, for
years now we have had to make sure to carry a little pillow with us wherever we
go as having to sit on an unpadded chair for any length of time will flat out
(no pun intended) do her in. Beyond that, when she puts on just a wee bit of
weight it invariably shows up right around her middle which, absent a butt,
gives her essentially an ice cream cone shape (without the ice cream) from the
waist down. This can be more problematic than you might think, since many of
the clothes she wears, now that they have nothing to keep them aloft, tend to
succumb to gravity without warning so that she will suddenly have her jeans or
skirt in a pool around her ankles. Fortunately, this has tended to happen only
around the house - the few times we've been in public she has been quick enough
to desperately grab her waistband as it headed south and avoid the risk of a
charge of indecent exposure.
I began carefully and diplomatically suggesting over a year ago now that she
might consider looking into something that would offer her some padding in her
backside, both for comfort and for safety. For a long time she was resistant to
my subtle urging, feeling that there was too much an air of vanity to the whole
idea to take it seriously. But the longer she has had to sit on uncomfortable
chairs and the more times she has suddenly found herself walking around the
house with her britches at half mast, the more she has been swayed to at least
give it a try.
Finally last week she gave in and ordered this butt booster. We read a good
number of reviews and thus were able to peg the right size on the first try -
she is 5' 6" and weighs 132 pounds and we got the XL. It arrived early
this week and by this time she had lost all inhibitions about this endeavor and
was anxious to try out her new butt. I was not permitted to be present to
observe the contortions she had to perform to get into her butt booster, but
she reports that it was nowhere near as difficult as she had expected it might
be.
And the results? The results are amazing! She didn't need the hip pads as she
has endured the pleasure of birthing three children in years gone by and her
hips are wide enough, thank you very much. So she decided to use both the butt
and the hip pads in the pockets designated for the butt alone. As we read other
reviews, we also took the time to inspect the various pictures people had
posted and, to tell you the truth, in many cases I could not honestly detect a
difference between the "before" and "after" photos. But on
her, the difference was dramatic and I think you will be inclined to agree. The
"before" picture of her in her skinny jeans clearly shows that she
has no butt whatsoever, but once her butt booster is in place it is obvious
that her silhouette has changed dramatically; she has an ample - dare I say,
even cute? - rounded backside that fills out her jeans perfectly. She also
reports that the fabric above the waist helps considerably in controlling her
midsection where every ounce she gains seems to find its home. She is very
pleasantly surprised by how natural it feels and how immediately comfortable
sitting on a chair has become. She does believe that she's going to have to
either sew or Velcro the padding in place because even in wearing this a short
time she says she felt that the pads were beginning to slip.
All in all this has gone much better that we could have hoped. While neither of
us aspire to be paragons of fashion, we both still like to look good -
especially when we're out in public - you'd never catch her in worn jeans and a
T-shirt or outfits designed for someone 50 years her junior. She likes to look
good and it is clear immediately that this will only enhance her looks. But
that's just icing on the cake. The fact that she can sit comfortably and will
no longer have to worry about accidentally revealing more of herself that she
desires to display are the goals we were hoping to achieve...and we have. Thank
you so much!

Don’t be alarmed by buying such a big size -
this is extremely small. I fell on the top end of 3XL measurements and am
losing weight so I went with that. It was touch and go for a minute there but I
got this thing on! Holds in the middle well and would have been easier to
breathe sizing up. What really disappointed was the hip pads. I bought this to
fill out my hip dips in a pencil dress for an event coming up. I’m 5’9” and
have a longer torso - even still, everything looked like it fell in the right
place except the top of the pads barely covered my hip dips and made me bow out
below my butt - more like upper thigh pads than hip pads for me and made for a
very awkward look. Sizing up I don’t think would raise them any higher.
I tried going the cheap route on shapewear and ended up exchanging 3 $20 pairs
with great reviews that failed for 1 $60 pair of Spanx that is amazing. Lesson
learned - don’t skimp on quality here.

Okay so I followed what everyone else said perfectly as far as the sizing because they said it runs small and I can see that. I’m a size 9, 5’4 150lbs roughly and I ordered a XXXL. It fits me perfectly. I tried it on with jeans, with a skirt, with shorts, with everything it actually looks really nice. I have hip dips so for me it just looks better. I feel if you’re going to be wearing this particular garment with leggings make sure they have some kind of pattern on them because the pads might show through in just black if you bend over or something.

I looked at a bunch of these before I bought
this item. I wanted the flexibility of using the padding separately or
together, and with or without the shapewear. I actually haven't used the
shapewear itself yet but I tried it on and it fit as expected according to the
size chart. I am 5'8" and 170 pounds and I ordered the 4X. The bum pads
are a great size for my rear. I included a photo of a before and after, and you
can really see how badly I needed these. My shape is just awfully flat, and
these perked it right up while still being believable. I didn't use the shaper
in this photo, or the hip pads. I just stuck the bum pads into my jeans and
they didn't move at all (albeit the jeans were super tight). I wouldn't attempt
this with loose fitting pants obviously.
Anyway I would totally recommend this item. Fits well, you can't tell you're
wearing it at all under even very tight jeans, and gives the rear a nice, perky
lift. Two thumbs up.
